100 Masters of the Realistic
Imagery is edited by Ulrich Goette Himmelblau who has been dealing
with art for more than 30 years. He is known as founder and donor
of a yearly given art award and as curator and gallerist in Spain
and Germany he can be referred to as an appreciator and expert
of the fine arts.
The book offers orientation and
a clearly defined selection of protagonists of photorealism,
hyperrealism, fantastic realism, surrealism, and classical realism.
As usual the volume is limited
to exactly 100 entries, and it contains biographical and
professional information about each listed fine artist. The text
listings are accompanied by up to 4 samples of artwork.
The Listing
Entries are arranged in alphabetical
order referring to the surname of the listee. Each listing is
preceded by a brief artistic statement written by the artist
himself and contains all important biografical information on
the topics as described here: CO.=Nationality/Country,
M.=Medium, S.=Subject as for artwork, C.=Artwork
in Public resp. Private Collections, E.=Important Exhibitions;
AE.=Art Education; AA.=Art Awards; P.=Publications.
Up to 4 samples of artwork in high print quality along
with the listee's web address complete the entry.
